Dear friends and EGEUS members, In the EGEUS Governing Board meeting held in St.Petersburg, on September, 6th, very important things happened:
- Board members present: Claudio De Angelis, Pierre Deprez, Angels Gines, Gloria Fernández Esparrach (representing Enrique Vasquez), Ian Penman and Raymond Mccrudden (representing Colin McKay), Tatiana Silina, Bertrand Napoleon, Pietro Fusaroli, Rodica Gincul, Mohamad Ali Eloubeidi, Ercan Cesmeli, Deniz Duman (representing Cem Kalayci)..
- Excused members: Enrique Vazquez-Sequeiros, Colin Mckay, Cem Kalayci
- Invited: Laszlo Csako
After 7 years (starting from Paris, 2005), the EGEUS Board has finally renewed the offices within the board: Claudio De Angelis has been EGEUS President from 2005 (Paris) and 2007 (Turin) and then continued to guide the Group as Coordinator form 2007 to today (St.Petersburg) with the invaluable collaboration of the EGEUS Secretary, Pierre Deprez. In St.Petersburg the EGEUS Board unanimously elected as new Coordinator, Maria Angels Ginès (Barcelona, Spain) and as new Secretary, Pietro Fusaroli (Castel San Pietro Terme – Italy). “Our best wishes for a happy and fruitful work to Angels and Pietro and to all the EGEUS Board.” “Many thanks to Claudio De Angelis and Pierre Deprez for all the work done in these years in order to support and develop the EGEUS Group.” In the same EGEUS Meeting in St. Petersburg the Board unanimously decided to insert in the EGEUS Website Board Organigram the name of Claudio De Angelis as Past-President/Coordinator, as a thank for the work done over the past seven years in coordinating EGEUS activities. Always unanimously the Hungarian EUS Club (HEC) has been accepted in the EGEUS Association and the official HEC representative in the Board will be Làszlò Czakò.
Last, but not least, news from St. Petersburg is that the candidature of Turkey as 2013 EGEUS European Congress hosting Country has been officially accepted and the location of the meeting could be Istanbul, in September if possible. The EGEUS website Committee |
