TRICK FOR A DIFFICULT EUS-GUIDED WON DRAINAGE
A 73-year-old man developed a biliary acute necrotic pancreatitis and, one month later, a walled-off necrosis that got infected.
An EUS-guided drainage of the collection was planned but at a prior inspection the solid necrotic part of the lesion largely prevailed on its liquid portion, making a complete expansion of the distal flange of the LAMS unlikely. Thus, the collection was entered with a 19G FNA needle and filled with 200ml of saline in order to create enough space for a correct release of the stent. Finally, the LAMS was successfully deployed.
